We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Vice President of Structured Finance. This role is critical in developing and executing a capital strategy, managing relationships with capital providers, and driving creative project finance solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structured finance and have deep relationships within the capital markets, with a proven ability to develop and implement innovative project financing structures. Experience in power generation is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Finance Strategy: Lead the development and execution of capital strategies to support growth and expansion. This includes structuring joint ventures, managing equity and debt financing, and optimizing the capital stack.
- Creative Structuring: Develop and implement creative project financing solutions to maximize the company’s financial flexibility and minimize the cost of capital. This includes exploring various forms of capital formation, such as secured and unsecured debt, mezzanine financing, and equity.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with capital providers, including equity sponsors, debt lenders, and alternative financing sources. Serve as a key point of contact for capital market activities and investor relations.
- Corporate Planning and Budgeting: Oversee corporate planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes. Ensure alignment with the company’s strategic objectives and financial goals.
- Joint Ventures and Partnerships: Structure and manage joint ventures and partnerships to support project development and capital deployment. Negotiate terms and agreements to optimize financial outcomes.
- Fundraising: Lead fundraising efforts to secure capital for new projects and initiatives. Develop and present investment proposals to potential investors and stakeholders.
- Strategic Decision Making: Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management on capital allocation, financing options, and investment opportunities. Support the development of corporate strategy and long-term planning.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards. Maintain accurate and timely financial records and reports.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or CFA preferred.
- 7-15 years of experience in structured finance, investment banking, or a related field.
- 7+ years of GFG, BESS, and/or renewables experience is preferred.
- Proven track record of developing and executing capital strategies and financing structures.
- Strong understanding of capital markets, debt and equity financing, and project finance.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to think strategically and develop innovative financing solutions.
- Experience managing relationships with capital providers and investors.
- Knowledge of the energy industry, particularly natural gas generation, is a plus but not required.
