  • Lead the company’s greenfield development and M&A strategy, with a focus on ERCOT and potential expansion into PJM, NYISO, and CAISO.
  • Oversee the development of 800 MW of new solar, BESS, and gas-fired projects annually.
  • Build and maintain relationships with developers and financial partners to identify acquisition and development opportunities.
  • Oversee site selection strategy, permitting, interconnection, and engineering for new solar, storage, and gas-fired generation projects.
  • Work with regulatory and permitting agencies to ensure projects meet all requirements.
  • Collaborate with the C&I team to explore opportunities in behind-the-meter and data center energy solutions.
  • Serve as a key leader in the development team, guiding junior developers and analysts.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across origination, engineering, finance, and regulatory affairs.
  • Work closely with executive leadership to shape long-term market expansion and investment strategies.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience in renewable energy, battery storage, and/or gas-fired power development.
  • Experience leading both greenfield project development and M&A transactions for an IPP.
  • Strong knowledge of ERCOT, PJM, CAISO, and NYISO market structures and regulations.
  • Proven track record of closing M&A transactions and successfully developing utility-scale projects.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to structure competitive acquisition and joint venture agreements.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment and manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams.
